June at Kayaks: A Month of Community, Care, and Connection

June at The Kayaks is shaping up to be a month brimming with activities, workshops, and social gatherings that promise to strengthen the bonds within the community. The Hub, a focal point for these events, is extending a warm invitation to all Parent Carers to join in the June Carers Week 2024. This is a unique opportunity to meet the dedicated team from Connected Caring over a relaxing cup of tea and scrumptious cakes. Rachel, Monica, and Maria are eager to share the support systems available to assist you in your invaluable role.

For those looking to enhance their well-being, a six-session workshop designed to build resilience and manage stress will be delivered by Luna Blu. This series is a testament to The Kayaks’ commitment to providing practical support to its members.

Adding to the enriching experiences, Lauren Osborne, a respected author, illustrator, and autism expert, will be leading an ‘Exploring Autism Diagnosis’ session. Her personal journey and expertise offer an insightful perspective on navigating the diagnosis process. This session is not just informative but also empowering, encouraging parents to approach autism with understanding, compassion, and confidence.
